Supported sensor cables

Chester X1 reads any cable that implements the standard digital sensor protocol used across the industry. The list below is known to work; cables not listed may also work — send us the model and we’ll test.

Confirmed compatible

  • GrainLink GL-T8, GL-T12, GL-TH8, GL-TH12 — native cables, full feature support including humidity.
  • OPI Integris standard digital cables — temperature only.
  • BinSense classic cables — temperature only.
  • IntegriCable digital — temperature and humidity.

Known incompatible

  • Any analog (thermistor) cable that requires a vendor-specific reader. These can sometimes be retrofitted with a digital head — contact support.
  • Older 4–20 mA loop cables.

Migrating from another vendor

If you’re swapping out a competitor’s controller but keeping the cables in the bin:

  1. Photograph the cable connector before disconnecting.
  2. Send the photo and the cable model number to support before scheduling install.
  3. We’ll confirm compatibility and ship a pigtail adapter if needed.

In most cases the swap is plug-and-play with no climbing inside the bin.
